PCC game

A game for learning about person-centered care.

Person-centered care means that care recipients are not only seen as patients with a diagnosis, but as whole persons, with experiences and knowledge that are crucial to providing good care for that person. To spread knowledge about person-centered care among healthcare personnel and relatives, we developed the PCV game together with GPCC, the Center for Person-Centered Care at the University of Gothenburg.

“When research-based activities and a gaming company come together, it creates an exciting encounter. We have learned to use text and images in new ways and to think more in terms of gaming,” says Irma Lindström Kjellberg.

In the PCV-game, players learn how to work with person-centered care by learning about patients' histories and circumstances so that they can leverage patients' strengths and involve them in their treatment.
